Problem Submission

More specifically, you will

1. Complete your work in files as required, placed in a directory named as required
2. "Zip" your folder/directory, which creates a single .zip file
3. Upload your zipped file to Blackboard's Digital Dropbox, using "Send File"

Required Name for Uploaded Folder/Directory

• Place all your work in a folder/directory named using the convention of PS5 followed by your last name (dropping any hyphens or apostrophes), followed by your first initial. For example,

  PS5LastnameF           [Pattern]
  PS5BranickyM           [for Michael Branicky]
  PS5OHaraS                 [for Scarlett O'Hara]
  PS5AbdulJabbarK     [for Kareem Abdul-Jabbar]

Zip'ing Files

Windows

• In Brief: On folder name, perform

       Right click, Send To -> Compressed(zipped) Folder

MAC OS X

• In Brief: On folder name, perform

       Control Click (aka ControlKey-MouseClick) --> Create Archive of "..."
  

• Apple's own Detailed Instructions.
• Alternative for advanced users: To compress directory foo, execute at the command line (in the directory foo is stored in)

       % zip -r foo foo
  

  It will produce a new file called foo.zip in the same directory that foo resides in.
